We’re so glad you’re joining us. Kumeu Market is all about good people, great products, and a relaxed, community vibe – so here’s everything you need to know to make the day run smoothly.

 

🕒 The Day at a Glance

Set-Up

  • 6:30am – 8:30am: Stall set-up
  • Food trucks need to be locked into position by 7:30am
  • All vehicles must be in vendor parking by 8:30am sharp

Market Hours

  • 9:00am – 2:00pm: Open to the public

Pack Down

  • From 2:00pm: Pack-down begins
  • Vehicles can’t come back into the sheds until the public has cleared – this is a safety must

🛠 Want a Head Start?

You’re welcome to set up the day before:

  • Saturday, 9:30am – 12:00pm

📍 On the Day

  • Arrive early and follow the team’s directions
  • Drive SLOW with your hazard lights on
  • Look for the high-vis vests – we’re your people if you need anything

💰 Stall Options

A couple of quick notes:

  • Half sites are cosy – great for smaller setups, but a full 2m table won’t fit across the front
  • Our hire tables are a bit too big for half sites
  • Food vendors: please send through your food certificates before market day

✅ Keep It Safe (and Stress-Free)

  • Flick your hazard lights on while driving through the grounds and unloading
  • Once you’re unloaded, move your vehicle promptly
  • Be mindful of your neighbours – good flow makes a big difference

 

📌 A Few Ground Rules

  • 🚭 No smoking or vaping inside the sheds
  • 🐶 No dogs please—this is a working farm

🧾 Payments & Cancellations

Payments

  • All invoices are due by the 1st of the month
  • Unpaid sites may be released (we hate doing it, but we will)

Cancellations

  • More than one week notice = full refund or credit
  • Between two – seven days’ notice = refund minus $20 to cover admin costs
  • Less than 48 hours or no-show = no refund
  • $20 rebooking fee applies for your next market (covers last-minute reshuffling behind the scenes)

☔ Rain or Shine

We go ahead in all weather. Refunds aren’t available due to weather – but we’ll always keep communication clear if anything changes.

🧷 The Practical Stuff

  • Take your rubbish with you (or a $100 clean-up fee applies)
  • No nails or screws in walls unless pre-approved
  • Water taps are available around the grounds
  • Generators = outside only
  • Power is limited and must be booked in advance ($50 per vendor)
  • All electrical gear must be NZ-compliant and tagged
  • Stay within your allocated space – no spillover into your neighbour’s spot
  • No amplification inside (keep the vibe relaxed for everyone)
  • No cooking inside sheds (H&S requirement)

We may shift sites to improve flow – it’s all about making the market work well for everyone.
We also curate the mix of stalls to keep things fresh and interesting, so please only sell what you’ve been approved for (just check with us if anything changes).

🛡️ Insurance

  • You’re responsible for your own gear, products, and setup.
  • We don’t cover loss or damage – so please make sure you’re insured.
